Ways to DuitNow

DuitNow Pay-to-Account Number: pay using only account number. Allows validation of account number information before making 

payment (previously known as Instant Transfer).

DuitNow Pay-to-Proxy:

DuitNow allows you to perform instant fund transfers to your recipients by entering the recipient's Mobile Number, NRIC, Passport number (for non-Malaysians only), Business Registration Number or Army/Police number which has been registered as DuitNow ID of the recipient via participant bank. 

Similarly, once you have registered a DuitNow ID, senders may perform instant fund transfers to your account by entering your DuitNow ID instead of your account number.

How to register your DuitNow ID

You can register with DuitNow via the HSBC Malaysia Mobile Banking app.

To receive payments via DuitNow, select your preferred account number to pair with your mobile number or NRIC/passport number.

How to transfer money using DuitNow

Discover a new way of sending and receiving money using DuitNow through the HSBC Malaysia Mobile Banking app.

It's now easier to transfer funds by entering the recipient's registered DuitNow ID such as mobile number and NRIC or account number.

Watch this video to learn to transfer funds in just a few simple steps.

Step 1

Select "Pay & transfer (Duitnow)" on "Move money" tab

Step 2:

Select which account to transfer "From"

Step 3:

Tap on "My Payees". Click "Pay someone new", which will pop up a transaction selection page option. Click on the arrow to expand the menu.

Under transaction selection page, select the proxy ID (mobile number, passport, NRIC, business registration or Army/Police ID) or account number. This will take the user to the "Add a new payee" screen.

Step 5:

Fill in beneficiary information and click Continue.

Step 6:

Enter the transaction details (amount, reference etc). Click Continue to proceed with transaction authentication journey, review the details before confirm it and complete the transaction.

How to transfer money using DuitNow on online banking

With the enhanced online banking, fund transfer is now easier using DuitNow.

Simply enter the recipient's registered DuitNow ID such as mobile number and NRIC.
