With the impact of Covid-19 being felt across the country, HSBC is here to help ensure your peace of mind when it comes to your financial well-being during this unprecedented times. We are fully supportive of Bank Negara Malaysia’s (BNM) measures to provide an automatic deferment of all loan/ financing repayments to our individual and Small and Medium Enterprise (SME) customers, and to facilitate requests from our corporate customers for deferment or restructuring of their loans/ financing repayments.

We empathise with everyone who is currently going through a challenging time here in Malaysia due to the COVID-19 outbreak and therefore we have taken the extra steps for retail and SME customers -  both the interest for conventional loans as well as profit on Islamic financing will not be compounded during the moratorium period, we hope this proactive effort will help ease the financial burden of our retail and SME customers. HSBC has a long history in Malaysia and we want to continue to support the financial well-being of our communities.

This automatic deferment applies to all loans/financing outstanding as at 1 April 2020 and only non-impaired accounts will qualify.

Customers do not need to call in or visit any of our branches or submit any documents to apply for this automatic deferment. The bank will be able to complete the process automatically for you.

For customers that have recently applied for our current HSBC liquidity relief packages, please be informed that the measures announced by BNM will supersede the current offers effective 1 April 2020.

Updates on Branch Operating Hours & Self-Service Terminals

We at HSBC are committed to both serving our customers and protecting the health and well-being of our employees. Customers, and communities. We also consider that we all have a role to play in ensuring fill compliance with the Government’s Movement Control Order (MCO).

Therefore, effective 26 March 2020 and until the expiry of the MCO on 14 April 2020, only the following HSBC/HSBC Amanah branches will be operational from 9:30am to 03:00pm (Monday - Friday).

However, all our branches Self-Service Terminals (SST) including ATMs and CDMs will remain open from 07:00am – 10:00pm daily. (except for where local guidelines differ and, HSBC Amanah Sri Petaling, HSBC Amanah Sungai Buloh and HSBC Bayan Baru, of which all services including SST have been suspended).

Delay in Delivery of HSBC/HSBC Amanah Physical Statements

Due to impacted services following current Covid-19 outbreak, with effect from 18 Mar 2020, there will be delay in the delivery of credit card/-i and banking physical statements. 

For credit card/-i customer, to facilitate payment process, please take note that a summary of payment details would be communicated via SMS. 

For banking customer, please refer to your Relationship Manager. 

You may also view your recent transactions and available balances via Online Banking/Mobile Banking 

We hope that the situation will improve soon so we can resume providing our customer seamless services.

Delay in Delivery of HSBC/HSBC Amanah Credit and Debit card/-i(s)

Due to Covid-19 situation and the Movement Control Order (MCO) imposed by the Malaysian Government, there will be delay in the delivery of all new and replacement credit and debit card-i(s). We expect to deliver the new and replacement credit and debit card-i(s) to customers once the MCO is lifted.
